Anna Library Adventures: Introvert Edition

Heyy Lovess❤️,

So, for my CA2, while everyone else was stuck with serious seminar topics and assignments, my professor who’s basically the king of creativity
looked at me and said, “Do a vlog on something you love.” And obviously, I said yes. That’s how I ended up with my 15-minute vlog assignment on Anna Centenary Library.

Now, the real twist? I’m an introvert, pro-max. I don’t talk to strangers. I don’t even look at strangers. That’s where my backbone comes in, my bestie - sam 🫂. She’s the spokesperson, the question-asker, the person who never gets annoyed at me being shy (a rare gem, honestly). So, together we hopped on a bus from Tambaram to Kotturpuram. First time there, and surprisingly, we got down at the exact right stop, no confusion, no drama. Like we were locals already.

When we entered the library, the first thing we did was drop our bags in the dedicated counter, got our tokens, and then started rolling our cameras. The architecture? OMG!! Modern, majestic, and basically the library version of a red-carpet entrance. Big glass walls, massive structure, the kind that makes you feel tiny but also fancy at the same time.

The first section we explored was the children’s library. And let me tell you, it was pure magic. Imagine fairy tales, Disney princess vibes, and shelves full of fiction calling your name. In the middle, there was this giant tree (fake), but adorable like a centerpiece of imagination. The walls had paintings of The Lion King, Mowgli, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and honestly, my inner child was thriving. I even saw little kids reading with their grandparents and dads, picking books on their own. My heart? Melted.
Then came the literature section. My fashion-loving soul nearly screamed when I found this quirky book "How to tell a woman by her handbag" by Kathrin Eisman It was basically a fashion-meets-personality catalogue, with Hollywood references like Hermès kelly bag lady - Victoria Beckham. I was living. Obviously, I filmed clips for my vlog because, hello? Fashion and books in one frame? That’s my dream content. I also looked through classics like Beauty and the Beast and chic reads like Shopaholic, while my friend was busy referring children’s books for her own CA2 seminar.
After hours of book-vibing, we decided to feed our souls (and stomachs). Right opposite the library, there’s this restaurant called Copper Kitchen. We had kizhi parotta and shawarma rolls, absolute heaven. No long waits, no traffic, no chaos, just us catching a bus right away, chatting all the way back, and reaching home safe and happy.

It was adventurous, calming, and honestly one of those days you want to replay in your head over and over again.

“Some days don’t need a filter — they’re already picture perfect.” 💛
